Queensaray Villegas Serna is a Shred Girl Doing AMAZING Things on the BMX Bike in Colombia

Queensaray Villegas Serna (and her twin Liz!) is an amazing Shred Girl from Colombia who we will almost certainly see at the Olympics pretty soon—she’s been crushing tricks and is working on her backflips for 2019, and her freestyle BMX skills are honestly out of this world. I love her Instagram—check it out for videos and great photos, and follow her and her sister on their journey!

When did you start riding?

I started riding 3 years ago to be exact December 3 2015.

Why choose BMX?

I decide to ride BMX because I look up to Mariana Pajon [one of the best BMX freestylers in the world] and when the city built a skatepark a bloke away from my house, it was a love at first sight.

PS: Mariana Pajon is one of my favorite BMXers—and a poster of her makes a sneak appearance in Shred Girls: Lindsay’s Joyride!

Have you made friends through BMX?

Yes, I have made to lots of friends there is actually one of the coolest things about BMX.

Coolest trick you’ve learned?

The coolest trick for me I could say is back flip, and can do flip drivers on the foam-pit, I know I would have that trick on dirt soon that is my homework for 2019.

What does a training week look like for you?

I ride every day, I have the luck to have a cool skatepark near my house so I try to ride as much as I can. When I’m at school, I ride in the afternoon and when I’m on (school) vacations I ride from morning to noon. I also go to the gym and work out!

Best tip for new riders?

It’s just about getting rolling on your bike, feeling it, enjoying it. It’s just amazing to get to ride the curve down the street, riding bikes is fun!

How do you tackle new obstacles?

I could say that it’s a matter of making a decision and trusting your skills: you know how far you can go, some time risking its fun.

Favorite piece of gear?

My favorite pice of gear I could say its my helmet, it makes me feel secure and safe, I feel like I could send any trick and it will protect me 🙂
