STRONG GIRL PUBLISHING AUTHOR CODE OF CONDUCT

Because Strong Girl Publishing authors are so closely tied to our mission and values, we expect them to adhere to a certain standard of conduct in order to maintain our high standards and create a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

As an author for Strong Girl Publishing, you are also an ambassador for us. As a company, we strive to create an environment for our authors and our readers that is positive, inclusive, safe, welcoming and motivating. Therefore, we expect our authors and creators to treat everyone fairly and with respect regardless of gender, place of origin, race, physical or mental disabilities, sexual orientation, religion, political beliefs, or economic status.

Any content shared on any of your platforms should be free from any content promoting bigotry, racism or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

When posting about Strong Girl Publishing, authors agree that all Strong Girl Publishing-related posts, social media content or captions, and/or comments should be in good taste and free of inappropriate language (as our audience is very youth-oriented) and/or any content promoting bigotry, racism or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

As an author, you also agree to meet the deadlines set in your contract, as well as other terms laid out in said contract. Strong Girl Publishing wants to help you make the best product possible, so we do need to work within deadlines—make sure what we’re agreeing upon is realistic for you. While we understand that there will be times when it’s impossible to meet a deadline, we expect authors to strive to meet their goals in these writing projects as they do in sport.

By joining Strong Girl Publishing as a creator, you’re becoming part of our small family—and part of our success comes from working together! While you don’t have to promote every book we put out or attend every author event or meeting, the Strong Girl creators are unique in that we are a  team joined by our mission to help get (and keep) young girls in sport. Enthusiasm for our mission from every author is a vital part of our success.

Failure to meet the ongoing expectations of Strong Girl Publishing may result in one or more of the following actions:

-A delay in the publishing process while we decide on the best path forward

-A cancellation of your contract for any work still in progress

-The immediate reversion of your work’s rights back to you and an immediate ceasing of any publications
